February: We're Celebrating......That???

Where they discover all these crazy holidays and then create book challenges to match each is amazing to me!  So for February I supplied the moderator with these 6 dates:
1, 13, 19, 21, 23 and 28.  I get to choose which of the 3 days' holiday challenges I'd like to do.
Here's their entire list of February holidays/challenges:
Feb 1 - National Freedom Day Read a book in which a character is a veteran or in the military (any country, any time, any service)  Gallows Thief the main character Rider Sandman fought in the Napoleonic Wars 
Feb 2 - Groundhog Day: Read a book set in Pennsylvania OR reread a favorite book 
Feb 3 - The Day the Music Died: Read a book in which music plays a major part in the story OR a book with a flying machine on the cover or in the title (Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper died in a plane crash in 1959)
Feb 4 - Create a Vacuum Day: Read a book set in space OR a book with a word in its title that has two consecutive vowels 
Feb 5 - National Weatherman's Day: Read a book in which a character is a geek/nerd or has a nerdy career OR a book with some sort of weather featured prominently on the cover

Feb 6 - Lame Duck Day: Read a book in which politics are important 
Feb 7 - Wave All Your Fingers at Your Neighbor Day: Read a book set in a small town 
Feb 8 - Kite Flying Day: Read a book with a diamond-shaped object on the cover OR a book with a bright-colored cover (at least three colors)
Feb 9 - Toothache Day: Read a book in which a character works in a medical field OR a book with sweets/candy on the cover or in the title
Feb 10 - Umbrella Day: Read a book with rain or an umbrella on the cover OR a book set in a location that is known for its rainy weather

Feb 11 - Make a Friend Day: Read a book recommended by a friend
Feb 12 - National Plum Pudding Day: Read a book with a cover that is more than 50% purple/lavender/plum
Feb 13 - Get A Different Name Day: Read a book by an author who writes under more than one name

Feb 14 - Ferris Wheel Day: Read a book in which a fair/festival/carnival occurs OR a book with a LARGE circle on the cover
Feb 15 - Singles Awareness Day: Read a book in which an adult character is single

Feb 16 - Do A Grouch A Favor Day: Read a book with a grumpy character (or one who pretends to be grumpy) OR a book that makes you laugh out loud
Feb 17 - Random Acts of Kindness Day: Read a book with a character who is kind OR a book that was given to you, no strings attached (gifts count)
Feb 18 - National Battery Day: Read a book by an author whose first AND last initials can be found in BATTERYDAY
Feb 19 - National Chocolate Mint Day: Read a book with a cover that is more than 50% green 
Feb 20 - Cherry Pie Day: Read a book with a cover that is at least 50% red (NOT maroon or burgundy!) OR a book with a character who bakes (not just once during the book, but regularly)

Feb 21 - Card Reading Day: Read a book with at least one word in its title that you would find on a greeting card (HAPPY, BIRTHDAY, WISHES, ANNIVERSARY, GRADUATE, etc; be sure to tell us the word you'd find on a card) Death of a Valentine by M C Beaton
Feb 22 - International World Thinking Day: Read a book that makes you think
Feb 23 - International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day: Read a book with a dog on the cover, in the title or in the story
Feb 24 - National Tortilla Chip Day: Read a book set in a Spanish-speaking country or with a Spanish-speaking character OR a book in which a party of some kind occurs 
Feb 25 - Pistol Patent Day: Read a book with a gun in the title or on the cover OR a book in which a gun is used in the story

Feb 26 - Tell a Fairy Tale Day: Read a book that is a retelling of a commonly known fairy tale OR a book in which fairies appear
Feb 27 - No Brainer Day: Read a book that you consider “fluff” 
Feb 28 - Public Sleeping Day: Read (or rather, finish?) a book that’s been putting you to sleep
Feb 29 - National Surf and Turf Day: Read a book with a sea creature on the cover or in the title OR a book with a land animal on the cover or in the title
