2013

I am of course operating under the belief that everyone was one the edge of their seats in 2012 just dying to know what books I had been "reading".  Brand new year means brand new page.  2013 will probably also mean new authors seeing as how I read through many of their entire works last year.  Any advice on new authors are greatly appreciated.
You can also view my favorite authors and others on Goodreads:
my books-read-on-cd shelf:
Lady Bren's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (books-read-on-cd shelf)
I am going to divide this page into authors.  I have to admit when I find an author I like I completely devour their catalog.

David Baldacci  What I love about Baldacci is his ability to write different genres so very well.
The Forgotten January 2013
Split Second  March 2013 (King & Maxwell #1)
The 6th Man March 2013 (King & Maxwell #5)
Wish You Well May 2013

Valerie Bertinelli
Losing It March 2013

Tess Gerritsen  I never understand why people are surprised that so many TV series are based on successful books.  Don't expect to find the same characters as on the TNT show the Rizzoli and Isles in her books are incredibly stronger characters compared to the ones you see on TV. I am finding many of her older titles on audio and plan on working my way through all of those.
Last To Die (R/I #10) January 2013
Harvest February 2012
The Keepsake (R/I #7) February 2012
Keeper of the Bride February 2013

Syrie James While looking for a British author on audio-book I discovered Ms. James.  Her ability to assume the voice of a well beloved, known historical person is incredible, reminds me a lot of Margaret George.
The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen May 2013

J.A. Jance  I started reading Ms. Jance last summer.  She writes 4 different series and I love all of them.  I'll admit my favorite character is Ali Reynolds.
Judgement Call (Joanna Brady # 15) April 2013
Long Time Gone (J.P. Beaumont #17) April 2013

Sherrilyn Kenyon  I now know that this genre is called Urban Fantasy.  Not recommended for minors
Fantasy Lover  (Dark Hunter #1) March 2013 ~ the CDs were so damaged I couldn't finish this book

Brad Meltzer
The Fifth Assassin March 2013

Jodi Picoult
Sing You Home April 2013
The Pact May 2013

Celia Rees I found Ms. Rees while looking for a British author for my February installment/commitment to the BBC challenge.  Known as a writer for YA her books (much like Twilight and others) are hits with adults as well. From her website: Although her recent novels have been historical, she has written about everything from vampires to Shakespeare.
Witch Child February 2013

Christopher Reich Espionage thrillers for the 21st century is his tag line on the website.  I currently am enjoying his novels centered on the couple Jonathan and Emma Branson.  He's a doctor who didn't know she's a spy.
The Rules of Vengeance January 2013
The Rules of Betrayal April 2013

Kathy Reichs If you think you know Temperance Brennan from the TV show Bones, think again,  The character in Ms. Reichs' books might share the same skill set but there is where the similarities end, and I like the book version even more than the one on TV.
Bones Are Forever (Temperance Brennan #15)

J K Rowling Ok I know I am some 12 years behind the times but I truly never had a desire to read the Harry Potter Series.  I grabbed the first book to help fulfill the requirement of reading a British Author and now am committed to reading the series.
H P and the Sorcer's Stone April 2013
H P and the Chamber of Secrets April 2013
H P and the Prince of Azkaban May 2013
H P and the Goblet of Fire May 2013
